Ulrica Margareta Hydman Vallien

Born 1938 in Stockholm.
She is primarily famous for her worms, tulips and wolves on glass. Strong colors and playfulness are what often characterize her work. She is married to the famous artist Bertil Vallien. She is a resident of Åfors, Algutsboda parish in Småland. Ulrica Hydman went to the art store in Stockholm where she read ceramics and glass. At Konstfack she also met her prospective husband Bertil Vallien whom she married in September 1963. Bertil Vallien was later offered work as an artist and designer at Åfors Glasbruk and both settled there. Ulrica Hydman Vallien has been a glass artist since 1972.
