Erik Höglund

Erik Höglund(1932-1998) was a versatile artist who worked as a draughtsman, graphic artist, painter, sculptor and glass artist. He also created unique utilitarian objects in glass and wrought iron, which contributed to his significant role in Swedish 20th century art. Among his extensive production for public environments in various materials, it is mainly his efforts in art glass that have made him particularly recognized. For two decades he worked at Boda Glassworks, where his experimental style and curiosity about material combinations set a new standard for Swedish glass art. With his strong personality and broad artistic expression, he has left a lasting impression on Swedish design.
