Jan-Erik Ritzman, born August 25, 1943 in Vetlanda parish, is a Swedish glass artist and glassblower.


Jan-Erik Ritzman became a glassblower in 1957 and master craftsman at Kosta in 1964, when he was 20 years old. In 1982, he opened Transjö Hytta together with Sven-Åke Carlsson, a cabin that mainly blows one-piece art glass.

Jan-Erik Ritzman has worked as an advisor abroad, including to Ngwenhge Glass in Swaziland, which started in 1979 as a SIDA-supported aid project. He has also taught in the United States at the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington State. Ritzman is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm, as well as in museums and galleries around the world, including Germany, Australia, New Zealand and France.
