Spark Guard SBV 128 is a handmade protective grille for fireplaces, designed for Boda Smide by Bertil Vallien in the mid-60s. The protection is foldable, 37 cm high, the maximum depth is 26 cm depending on how the grate is unfolded. The width is a minimum of 50 cm and a maximum of 90 cm fully extended.
Why a spark guard?
Protects the floor and surroundings from sparks and embers that can jump out of the fireplace and otherwise create unsightly marks, and in the worst case cause it to catch fire.
The spark guard creates a safe zone around the fire, and enhances the impression of the fireplace with its artistic and historic design.
