Run Horn IV is a glass piece where history, craftsmanship and innovation meet in an artistic expression. With its height and the refined Ariel technique, Micke Johansson has created a horn reminiscent of ancient Nordic runes, but with a modern artistic soul. It is a work that combines tradition with innovation - a contemporary art object with historical resonance.
Micke Johansson is one of the few glass artists who both designs and blows his own work. This gives him full control over color, shape and rhythm - where the transparency of the glass interacts with the nuances of a visual composition. The Ariel technique, in which air pockets and patterns are built up in several layers, creates a depth that is both technical and emotional. The name "Ariel", inspired by Shakespeare's The Tempest, symbolizes the spirit of the air. Micke has refined the technique to double ariel - a method that only he has mastered.
Edition: One of a kind - an original for the collector who seeks the unusual
Expression: A work of art that provokes conversation and dominates its place
